MYDESIRE INGREDIENTS

THE ALL NATURAL REMEDY FOR WOMEN

Maca Root - Lepidium meyeni

Part Used: Rhizome

Maca has been traditionally used as a female fertility ingredient in the Andeas mountain regions of South America, where the rhyzomes (roots) are ground into powder. Maca is also known as “Peruvian ginseng” (despite the fact that it is not a member of the ginseng family). Over the last 20 years, scientific research has been undertaken on this plant’s female libido enhancing effects.

In a 2008 study, researchers found that Maca alleviates sexual dysfunction caused by use of selective-serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (anti-depressants). The study involved people with depression, all of whom were experiencing anti-depressant induced sexual dysfunction. Results revealed that Maca helps improve female libido.

Sarsaparilla - Smilax officinalis.

Part Used: Whole Herb

In the old Mid-West (USA), a Sarsaparilla was a carbonated “sissy drink.” No self-respecting cowboy would ever want to be caught, even dead, with one of these drinks in their hand. Well times have changed.

The Sarsaparilla plant is a tropical North American vine with fragrant roots and has multiple medicinal uses that women greatly desire. Clinical research has discovered that Sarsaparilla contains three important natural human hormones; testosterone, progesterone, and cortin.   Progesterone is normally produced by the ovaries in healthy human females. The fact that Sarsaparilla has a progesterogenic action, means that the herb can be used to bring relief to women suffering from symptoms of menopause and other menstrual problems, like premenstrual syndrome (PMS). This herb also assists in stimulating mucous membranes, alleviating vaginal dryness.

Vervain - Verbena officinalis.

Parts Used: All arial parts.

European Vervain was one of the sacred herbs of the Druids and was called hiera botane, or sacred plant, by the Romans.

Lack of female libido and desire in woman is more than often caused by anxiety and a fatigued nervous system, especially after a period of emotional stress. Vervain strengthens the nervous system while relaxing any tension and stress. It is one of nature’s gentle mood lifters.

Dong Quai - Angelica sinensis.

Parts Used: Roots

Dong Quai is a herb in the celery family native to China, Japan, and Korea. The root has earned a reputation as the “ultimate herb” for women. It is widely used among Chinese women as a fortifying daily tonic, much as Chinese men rely on ginseng.  Women in other parts of the world have also discovered this 5,000 year old tradition that naturally provides balancing and normalizing support for women’s unique rhythms, cycles and body systems. This herb has been used traditionally to relieve cramps, irregular menstrual cycles, infrequent periods, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), and menopausal symptoms.
